To understand the ability to diagnose, prevent and cure diseases with utilization new and cheaper enzymes and biosensors obtained by biotechnological process. To understand the process and importance of Immobilized enzymes in Pharmaceutical Industries.

BP605.2

To understand the numerous tools and biotechnological techniques utilized in genetic engineering, in the preparation of various Interferons/vaccines/hormones and understand the various pharmaceutical applications

BP605.3

To understand the various immunological responses against antigens and outline the methods for the production of several vaccines and monoclonal antibodies. The students will also understand the hybridoma technology which includes methods for production, purification, and application of blood product and plasma substitutes.

BP605.4

To understand the several immunoblotting techniques which includes ELISA, Western blotting etc., and transfer of genetic material in biological species. Also helps students to apply the use of microbial biotransformation and its application

BP605.5

To understand the use of microorganisms in fermentation technology from small to large scale. Also allowed to explain the production of Penicillin, citric acid, Vitamin B12, Glutamic acid, Griseofulvin.
